We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. We focus on both rapid prototyping and program development to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. You will play a key role with a group that works all facets of engineering from concept development proposal writing requirements and design build integration test and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.To put it in more simple words… The position will support design development and integration of avionic systems and/or communication systems for a space application. The position provides an opportunity work with an experienced interdisciplinary team to develop unique systems to meet challenging requirements on a dynamic development program. We will consider a variety of backgrounds so be sure to apply today to be considered!Position Responsibilities Analyzes and translates system requirements into avionics systems and/or communication systems hardware and software product requirements and interface specificationsWorks with suppliers to develop and document aviation systems and/or communication system product requirementsDevelops trade studies analyzes results and performs design reviewsMonitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirementsDelivers avionics systems and/or communication system and sub-systems products and supports system-level integrationConducts tests and validates electrical system to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirementsMust possess good organizational interpersonal and problem solving skillsMust have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitmentsAbility to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated eventsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Must have a Bachelors Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistryAbility to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance post start2 years or more of electronic systems engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience working with aerospace platforms and/or programsElectrical Engineering degreeSpace-related product / program experience (i.e. satellites spacecraft missile systems etc.)Communication systems (microwave and optical) experienceAn Active Top Secret clearance or SSBI Tier 5 within the past 5 yearsTypical Education/Experience P2Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.P3Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master+3 years related work experience).
