Description Collections Specialist ~ Professional firm Washington D.C.$60k-$70k career growth great benefits hybrid work schedule!My client is a well-established Professional Services firm located in the Washington D.C. with a need for a Collections Specialist. This is a newly created opportunity due to the growth and they are seeking a dynamic proactive Collections Specialist to support daily operational accounts receivable needs. The Collections Specialist will report to the AR Manager and the opportunity offers tremendous career growth. This is an exciting opportunity that will offer training and flexible remote work options. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for the following duties: Researches and analyzes accounts prior to initiating contact examines historical data evaluates past issues and collection efforts. Contacts customer via phone and email to establish/confirm reason for past due accounts performing collections activities Research and reconcile customer inquiries Applies standard due diligence practices to collect monies owed and prior history of client issues Composes correspondence requiring knowledge of procedures and practices in collections and sends standard collection letters Maintains files on all past due accounts documenting details of methods utilized to secure payments Makes arrangements for payments to bring account current and follows up to ensure obligation is satisfied Recommends accounts to be turned over to collection agencies or for litigation; prepares report of historical data to substantiate action to be taken Prepare write-offs (revenue validation) for billing errors Assist with resolution of past due Accounts Receivable to include updating of aging reports documentation of contact reconciliation of overage/shortageAll interested candidates in this Collections Specialist and other fulltime opportunities across the D.C. area please send your resume to Justin Decker via LinkedIn.
