The permanent Controller position is situated in the Beatrice Nebraska area. Planning and directing all accounting operational functions handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements evaluating accounting and internal control systems and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. The ideal candidate for this position can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services lead while also being a team player generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo. Exceptional compensation and benefits and potential for career growth are offered by this position.Key responsibilitiesTakes action on items beyond formal job responsibilitiesEach month present executive committee and partners with financial reportsOversee the activities of the finance department such as accounts payable billings & collections and payrollManage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on timeManage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecastsComplete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet reconcile accounts and handle G/L analysisAssess execute and streamline policies procedures controls and most methodologiesWork closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operationManage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervalsReviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectationsSupport Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements through research planning and implementation as needed Requirements - CPA/MBA preferredAbility and willingness to meet business critical deadlinesBA/BS in Accounting Finance Economics or other business related fieldDemonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environmentStrong communication skills excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentationsExemplary analytical quantitative and social skillsExcellent written/verbal communication and organizational skillsSelf-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges7+ years of progressive accounting experience including as a Controller preferredExcellent technology analytics and management experience requiredPrevious experience in public accounting is highly valuedFinancial statement preparation experience desiredCommand of month end closingsExcellent attention to detail Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
