Find your future with us.The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) BCA organization is seeking a proactive Product Data Management Specialist Process Management (Mid-level or Senior) to join the team in Everett WA.Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced environment working both independently and as part of team to develop and deploy capabilities that support Program start-up and sustaining activities. Strong oral and written communication skills the ability to resolve cross-functional issues and the ability to “see the big picture†are ideal.This position is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Everett WAPosition Responsibilities:REQUIREMENT GATHERING: Understand Engineering business processes and responses.  Gather define and document requirements—user and system requirements. Negotiate scope of project with external Boeing software developers (Talisen Technologies). Provide feedback to product owners subject matter experts and system owners regarding project content and direction.DATA MODELING: Translate the Engineering business processes into a relational database model. Beginning with the 1) conceptual model and evolving to the 2) logical model with defined data attributes and finally the 3) physical data model (the physical database). Maintain configuration control of the model in all phases. DATABASE DEVELOPMENT: Construct code and develop the physical database. Identify and physically create data relationships. Create nightly jobs stored procedures and triggers using Transact-SQL (T-SQL). Implement automated job execution schedule (overnight jobs) as needed. Conduct system testing. DATA MINING: Write Transact-SQL scripts to extract engineering product data from various company-wide data warehouses. Has extensive knowledge on BCA database warehouses that are available for consumption and available for interfacing to others. Maintains accounts to most BCA product data warehouses. For example: BIDS BRIDGE CDW ENOVIA CED (Corporate Electronic Directory). Maintain configuration control of all extracted data. COMMUNICATION: Coordinate with database administrators in the IT Enterprise Data Management (EDM) organization who are responsible for implementing our Engineering software on Boeing production servers. Coordinate with IT SI’s (system integrators) to provide middleware support. Coordinate with Global Trade Controls (GTC) to ensure export compliance requirements are met while developing software. Coordinate with Information Security to ensure our Engineering software designs appropriately protect our data. Coordinate with Boeing Partners Network (BPN) to ensure all requirements are met so software can be supplier-facing and accessible outside the Boeing intranet. Coordinate software releases using GSEP. INTERFACE DEVELOPMENT: Using network and relational database knowledge - request design and maintain application interfaces to other enterprise-wide computing systems and document the interface in an ICD (Interface Control Document). Examples: CED (Corporate Electronic Directory) EPDW (Enterprise People Data Warehouse ESDW (Enterprise Supplier Data Warehouse) EXDS (Global Trade Controls Data Store - and others.APPLICATION SECURITY DELIVERABLES: Maintain all application security deliverables in BASIC (Boeing Application Security Intelligence Center) and CAIRO. Application compliance scorecard and security deliverables are not limited to but include: Risk Sorter Access Control Policy Vulnerability Assessments Criticality Assessment and Disaster Recovery Plans.HARDWARE & SOFTWARE SUPPORT: Oversee hardware and operating system compliance to Boeing standards. Request OS updates and order new hardware when existing hardware becomes obsolete. SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE: Investigate software operational problems. Troubleshoot. Prioritize and organize the scheduling of production releases. Maintain database configuration control. Evaluate lessons learned. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Prepare user stories. Document objectives report on schedules and problems. Report on new requirements which effect project scope. Participate in progress reviews develop implementation plan.
