Description Robert Half is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager for a client in the western suburbs. The financial reporting manager will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of consolidated financial statements to management and ensuring that transactions and documentation are in compliance with US GAAP. Additional responsibilities include month end close procedures and tax compliance support. Effective communication skills are required to interact with internal customers from all levels of the corporation.Essential Functions include: Prepare quarterly/annual consolidated management accounts and corporate financial statements to report reliable and accurate financial results supported by commentary to management and the Board of Directors.Manage/perform the consolidation closing process including elimination entries and line item reconciliations to ensure timely accurate and reliable financial statements.Prepare consolidated and corporate budget financial statements to develop and communicate corporate financial targets to management and the Board of Directors.Identify opportunities for reporting process improvements and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in financial reporting.Prepare annual audit financial statements to timely report audited financial statements to executive management and Board of Directors.Support annual external audit process through preparation of supporting work papers to drive an efficient audit process and accurate audited financial statements.Support tax compliance/filings through the preparation of supporting analysis and work papers to support timely and accurate filing of tax returns.Establish effective communication with international operating units to ensure accurate reporting and consolidation of subsidiary financial results.Other Responsibilities include: Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP compliance.Perform internal audits of North America processes to support Internal Audit function ensuring a strong internal control environment.Ad hoc projects and financial reporting.Successful Financial Reporting Manager will have the following: Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience with emphasis in consolidated financial reporting and corporate accounting.Bachelors degree in Accounting.Advanced skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word and PowerPoint) are required.Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills are critical to this role.Excellent verbal and written communication Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the companyEffective organizational skills with ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage workloadFinancial ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) Consolidation software (Prophix experience a plus)International travel may be an opportunityIf interested please contact Brian Keating at 630-836-7152 Requirements Consolidated Financial Statements Financial Reporting SAP SAP Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
