Find your future with us.The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking an Senior Software Engineer in El Segundo CA Annapolis Junction MD or Fairfax VA or Huntington Beach CA. The position will involve creating software for world class next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept requirements architecture design and development of a future system. By building a career at Boeing youll have the opportunity to grow your skills create relationships around the world and help shape the future of aerospace.Position Responsibilities:Leads activities to develop document and maintain architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software systems.Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.Develops software verification plans test procedures and test environments executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.Leads development selection tailoring and deployment of processes tools and metrics.Plans executes and documents software research and development projects.Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains system-specific issues processes and regulations.Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.Works under minimal direction.This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) and ability to complete a CI (Counter Intelligence) polygraph after employment start.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a “US Person†as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person†includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering Software Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics or other technical degree12+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time systemExperience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification.Experience in software development using languages such as C C++ Python JavaScript.Experience using team collaboration tools including Git Bitbucket JIRA and Confluence.Experience with Agile development methodologies.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 14+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time systemActive Security ClearanceExperience automating software builds unit tests integration tests deployment and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab Jenkins Nexus Artifactory etc).Typical Education/Experience:Bachelors degree and typically 14 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 12 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 3 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
