Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Controller/Office Manager role for a growing construction company in Minden. This position is one that truly touches all facets of the business. You will have direct interaction with founder and President of the Company will interface with construction purchasing sales and administrative staff members. There is one direct report who will work with you. This position is responsible for the full accounting functions including: Maintaining the books and records of the Company utilizing job costing for homes under construction; cash and investment management; loan administration; payroll; business forecasting; and year-end interface with tax preparers. Duties also include placing insurance and acting as Companys risk management function; assisting title companies and the sales team with closings; as well as acting as Companys interface with IT contractors regarding hardware and software systems. This position is best suited for a proactive hands-on manager who is willing to perform a wide variety of tasks as well as supervise and mentor.If you have a good analytical mind great organizational and communication skills and are personable / proactive leader then we can provide a rewarding career. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting is required 5 7 Years of experience in accounting with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Project / Cost accounting experience is preferred. Tax planning experience is a plus but not a requirement.This role requires someone to be on site for the most part.
