Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced hardware focused Mid-Level Simulation Software Developer to join our hardware integration team in SeattleWA.This team is responsible for development of simulation executive software utilities and tools used to develop build and execute complex vehicle simulations. These simulations are used interactively in the cloud on engineering workstations and in hardware-in-the loop test bench and flight deck environments. The simulation framework has components in Rust C/C++ Python C# and Java and targets both Windows and Linux platformsPosition Responsibilities:Work as part of a team implementing a standard simulation to hardware communication protocol and architectureHardware/Software requirements generation design review coding testing and configuration managementDedication to unit testing test driven development continuous integration and continuous development practicesDocumentation of system architecture design and operationCustomer support training consulting problem investigation and debuggingThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry5+ years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software (C C++)5+ years of experience programming in C/C++Experience in developing Linux and/or Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) softwarePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Boost library experienceHardware Input/Output signal processing experienceInterface Control Document (ICD) knowledgeExperience with vehicle simulation technologiesStrong Python scripting experienceMatlab/Simulink modelingWorking knowledge of various bus protocols and message traffic analysis and debuggingExperience with containerized software and environments (Docker Podman Kubernetes Openshift)Experience working with virtual machine software (Virtual Box)Typical Education/Experience:  Bachelors degree and typically 5 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 3 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
