Description A current opening through Robert Half seeks an ambitious determined Plant Controller to join the team at a prominent manufacturing company. This is a leadership role with responsibility over an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements assessing accounting and internal control systems and guiding departmental staff. The Plant Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the SW Michigan region. How you will make an impact Each month present executive committee and partners with financial reports Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet account reconciliations & G/L analysis Produce cash-flow reports calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals and manage daily cash Research plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements as needed Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable billings & collections and payroll Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations Assess execute and improve policies procedures controls and most methodologies Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities Requirements Requirements - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities Observant accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment BA/BS in Accounting Finance Economics or other business related field Outstanding technology analytics and management experience required Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines Sharp analytical thinking abilities always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why" Leadership experience preferred Job costs experience required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including as a Plant Controller preferred Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company Outstanding communication skills excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
