Description A client Robert Half has partnered with is looking for a talented Payroll Administrator to manage the production of accurate and timely payroll for employees communicate effectively and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment. Submit an application for this position now!Major responsibilitiesDirect quarterly and year-end payroll reportsAdminister voluntary deductions as well as wage garnishments pay levies and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner including reporting to the necessary authoritiesCarry out regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledgerOblige with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data including payroll taxes employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reportingImprove systems and protocols to direct the collection calculation and entering of pay dataConfirm timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principlesWork in partnership Information Technology Human Resources and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systemsLend a hand to staff with pay related issues general questions related to payroll PTO accruals wage deductions and fringe benefitsSurvey data entered by others in the payroll software to include but not limited to salary/wage increases benefit deductions employee termination dates and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leaveExplore payroll areas pay practices related to FLSA and fringe benefit reporting to determine how those practices apply to advise management Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or equivalent degree and/or experience1+ years of payroll experienceExperience working with an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets is requiredFPC or CPP most optimalPrepare Journal Entries experienceFinancial reconciliation experience preferredKnowledge of Full Cycle PayrollMicrosoft Excel experienceProficient in garnishments processing liens and various withholdingsRobert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
