Find your future with us.Boeing is seeking an Experienced Radar Systems Electro-Physics Engineer - Scientist (Level 3) to work in Kent WA or El Segundo CA locations. In support of Boeing’s Space and Launch Division manages the companys major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications national defense and other missions.Position Overview:This engineering role is for a highly motivated individual with a passion for exploring / exploiting cutting edge technologies in support of National goals. This includes incrementally progressing promising concepts into operations through an Amazon Web Services cloud based dev/sec/ops environment.  The Radar Systems Electro-Physics Engineer will work on unusually complex technical problems and provide novel solutions which are highly innovative and inventive within the Boeing Space & Launch division for mission / ground systems.The selected engineer is expected to have the ability to quickly understand new technologies and come up with technology insertion plans. This role requires the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Specific areas of focus include Signal Processing signals intelligence & algorithm development to develop new techniques and apply them to the challenge of improving automatic target identification in Synthetic Automatic Target Recognition ATR data across multiple spectrums.Position Responsibilities:Develops and validates requirements for various communication sensor electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components. Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electricalelectronic systems mechanical systems interconnects and structures.Develops architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms. Performs trade studies modeling simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements. Defines and conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements. Manages appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested. Supports project management by providing work statement budget schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status. Writes appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business. Works under general direction.Workplace:This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the El Segundo CA or Kent WA location.​This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5) formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree in a Technical Field (i.e. engineering computer science mathematics physics chemistry or similar)Three (3) or more years of experience working signal processing or image processingPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Physics. ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standardFive (5) or more years of experience working with signal processing and algorithm developmentExperience with signal processing target identification and custody controlExperience writing proposals for R&D programsExperience with various sensor phenomenologyExperience in transition applied research and development concepts into operationsTeam oriented to develop in an agile environmentTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
