Field Supply Chain SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000346052Date Posted:2022-10-29-07:00Location:USA - Martinsburg (Shepherd Fld) WVJob Description Qualifications:Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Field Supply Chain Specialist (Level 2) to join their team in Martinsburg West Virginia / Shepherd Field Air National Guard Base. This position will focus on providing supply chain services in support of the C-17 aircraft / United States Air Force.In this role the focus will be on executing supply chain processes as this position will require working directly with the Air Force customer and other Boeing teammates to coordinate daily activities to enable the C-17 Field Supply Chain team to meet their organizational goals and contractual performance metrics.Position ResponsibilitiesDuties will include (but are not limited to):Assists in analyzing post production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities.Enters tracks monitors and coordinates customer material and delivery requirements.Processes material returned from customers.Assists in the analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities capacity and performance.Processes documentation associated with repair items and warranty claims.Responsible for the daily activities of the on-site Boeing warehouse functions supporting the C-17 program.Required to process repair induction documents for aircraft parts. Also responsible for data entry into automated systems to ensure parts availability. Requires the ability to operate and maintain material handling equipment perform shipping and receiving operations hazardous materials shipping traffic management operations export control and packaging and crating. Coordinate daily tasks with Team Lead to align priorities for smooth operation of workloads. Applicant will work according to established Boeing and Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) requirements for warehousing operations. Be proficient in the operation of mechanized and manual materials handling equipment hand tools and other equipment related to materials storage control and transportation. Ability to observe count and maintain stock levels in order to match names codes numbers or sized of items with lists on which these items are shown. Ability to recognize poor or unacceptable quality of parts prior to shipment. Coordinate with various departments to expedite and complete movement of material and parts to required locations. Utilizes the Seek Speak and Listen process.Exercise innovative problem solving skillsProvide status and updates to the C-17 Air Force & Boeing Base Manager as requiredThe selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Martinsburg (Shepherd Field) WV. or one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):3 + years of demonstrated Supply Chain ExperienceWarehouse Experience - Packaging Crating Inventory OperationsHazardous materials Shipping Export Control ExperienceMust be able to operate material handling equipmentSome level of education/certificationsBasic understanding of Power Point Excel WordPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):5-7+ years of demonstrated Supply Chain experiencePrior Supply Chain experience supporting a post-production product.Bachelor Degree or higher/ Certifications & Training in related field.Able to analyze statistical dataTypical Education & Experience:Bachelors degree and typically 3 or more years related work experience a Masters degree and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
