Find your future with us.The Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team is looking for Systems Engineers (Associate Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team in Everett and Renton Washington. The SE&I team is a division of the Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI) Organization within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA).  Our team is actively engaged with airplane programs that currently include 737-10 MAX 777-9 777-8 Freighter and future product development programs.As a systems engineer you’ll work to integrate across diverse cross-functional teams in the areas of systems engineering and directly support ALEI and airplane program leadership. Our team works hard to build relationships with our partners across all of engineering and the airplane programs and understanding the complex integration of airplane systems and airplane integration into the manufacturing and operational environment are required in this role. The SE&I deliverables directly feed airplane compliance and require an extreme attention to detail as well as a healthy engineering curiosity.If you’re ready for a challenging new role that is critical to the success of our airplane programs then this might be the job for you. Successful candidates will be reliable trustworthy and accountable for delivering results.  Familiarity with systems engineering framework (e.g. concept of operations (CONOPS) requirements validation & verification functional analysis & integration) development assurance 25.1309 ARP-4754A ARP-4761 and airplane product development will greatly benefit you in this role.The successful candidate will have:A deep background in an aviation engineering discipline with exposure to product design production or servicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with a diverse engineering teamIntrinsic aptitude for taking initiative leading cross functional teams and complex projectsAbility to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately efficiently and in a timely mannerPrimary Responsibilities: Develop own and manage all top level systems engineering artifacts or baselines for the airplane and production systemDevelop systems engineering plans and associated processesDevelop Development Assurance strategies for certificationLead Development / Process Assurance ReviewsDefine and develop ConOps and operational architecturesDefine functional & logical architectures perform functional analysis and integrate with requirements architectures and safety analysesLead single and multiple failure analysisBuild and maintain collaborative relationships across various functional and partner organizationsRepresent ALEI SE&I in airplane level design trade studiesProvide independent validation and verificationProvide SE&I expertise to program stakeholders and leadershipThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.  Hybrid schedule may be available.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a “US Person†as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person†includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.   Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry1 or more years experience in engineering classificationThe applicant must be able to support domestic or international travel to support our customers as required although this is not typical.Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or Systems EngineeringExperience in the entire development lifecycle of commercial airplanes and/or production systemsExperience as a Systems Engineer leading systems engineering integration or test activitiesExperience in Systems Engineering framework including ConOps development requirements validation & verification functional analysis & integration change impact analysis and trade studiesDetailed knowledge and understanding of the requirements and methods for showing compliance to 14 CFR 25.1309System safety assessment Fault Hazard Analysis and Single & Multiple Failure AnalysisDevelopment Assurance and experience with ARP4754A AC20-174 and ARP4761Typical Education/Experience:Level 3: Bachelors degree and typically 5 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 3 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.Level 4:  Bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
