Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Lead Systems Engineer – P-8 Requirements and Verification located in Tukwila WA. The Lead Systems Engineer applies an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to lead activities to plan design develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical functional and program interfaces. Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Leads analyses for affordability safety reliability maintainability testability human systems integration survivability vulnerability susceptibility system security regulatory certification product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Leads develops maintains and identifies improvements the planning organization implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes tools risk issues opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.Position Responsibilities Include:Lead analysis and translation of customer requirements into system architecture and requirements for the system and segment specification and maintain them throughout the program lifecycle.Lead development of verification methods logic and plans in support of program milestones. This also includes driving the validation of Modeling & Simulation tools utilized for Verification.Drive the system engineering integration and test or system analysis approach for modifications to the baseline system.Serve as the programs subject matter expert for requirements management and verification planning.Use of DOORS will be necessaryDevelop estimate and status work plansLead coach and mentor other engineers on the team with their work tasksThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry9+ years of experience with Systems EngineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ Years of experience with engineering leadershipTypical Education/Experience:Bachelors degree typically 14 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 12 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
