Accounting Specialist This job is located in our Irvine office.Oakmont Management Group (OMG) is looking for a full-time Accounting Specialist - AP for a busy and growing company. Oakmont is proud to offer luxury amenities and services to both active seniors and those in need of quality assisted living and memory care services. Oakmont currently operates 63 communities throughout California and Nevada with more communities in the new development pipeline.Were seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in the role of Accounting Specialist AP. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience in an accounts payable department.Objectives of this RoleResponsible for timely deposit of deposit of checks through remote desktop capture scanningOversee new vendor set-up in procurement subledger as well as in general ledgerAssist in managing reconciliation of company credit cards as well as review and approval of expense reports via ConcurEnter and record AP invoice records in the general ledger system and ensure proper coding and timely approvalCollect vendor information including W-9 and maintain master vendor record.Assist in annual filing process of 1099s for distribution to vendorsSet-up newly acquired or recently-opened communities utility accounts with various utility companiesAssist with annual real estate tax payment processingDaily and Monthly ResponsibilitiesManaging company credit cards and reconciling expense reports in Concur to ERPTrack and identify Inter-entity paymentsPrepare manual payroll checks as neededEnsure consistent and accurate GL coding among the various senior living communitiesMonitor Accounts Payable agingMail checks with appropriate backup to vendorsInteraction with vendors and business office directors as needed to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.Process daily deposit of checks receivedSkills and QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.Strong communication skills both verbal and writtenExperience with Concur a plus.Experience with RealPage a plus.Strong computer skills and flexibility with proven experience with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to handle a high volume of invoices and deadlines on a weekly basisClose attention to detail and reliable follow-throughSuperior organizational skills and dependabilityAbility to multi-task and work independentlyExcellent interpersonal skills as well as problem resolution initiative and prioritizingKnowledge of accounting cycle closing process and basic accrual accounting.3+ years accounts payable experience preferredOakmont Management Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
