Description Robert Half is working with a reputable company to find an efficient Payroll Clerk to join their dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties including data entry reconciliation of timecards paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Possess the skill set to effectively communicate with the internal team and outside customers. This permanent position is a terrific opportunity and is based in the Portsmouth New Hampshire area.Your responsibilities in this roleRetrieve reports as instructed by administering and/or distributingFill in data into spreadsheets and the payroll systemContact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvalsComplete other duties as assignedEnsure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing scanning faxing photocopying etc.Instruct and train employees in the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets online access of pay statements etc.Build and run custom reports Requirements - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the companyMicrosoft Excel experienceQualified in Payroll softwareAttentive ability to work independently and prioritize tasksStrong organization skillsEnthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideasPrevious payroll experience Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
