This role manages and supervises the department and schedules production to meet customer or company requirements. Develops and manages the departmental budget and coordinates training. Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises and manages the department and personnel by supervising front line supervisors and communicating any procedural changes monitoring payroll for line personnel conducting employee evaluations planning and organizing activities coordinating and attending training seminars maintaining labor relations ensuring effective communication with other departments and planning for the implementation of new products and processes. Schedules production by developing production schedules adjusting schedules depending on customer requirements scheduling production lines for maximum output planning for the testing of new product equipment and processes and communicating with other departments. Manages the departmental budget by developing a budget for labor based on projected sales including new equipment parts in the budget monitoring labor supplies overtime and temporary labor accounts reviewing payroll accounts coordinating with accounting on costing new products and developing cost reductions within the department. Ensures operational staff meet food safety and quality requirements. Performs other duties by developing and coordinating training procedures for personnel maintaining accurate records managing inventory and performing other duties as assignedRequirements Specific Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:7+ years experience in Production Management/SupervisionBachelors Degree highly preferredManufacturing experience requiredDemonstrated ability to multi-taskA proven track record of managing large groups of employees as an active floor managerProficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally present information and direction and field questions from managers employees and external contactsProficient in computer-use skills (Microsoft Office: Word Excel and PowerPoint)A high degree of professionalism and personal integrityStrong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
