Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer located in El Segundo CA. Position Responsibilities Include:Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development innovative producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.Conceptualizes and oversees the implementation of the program architecture for build.Consults upper management on long-range planning.Develops manufacturing plans or concepts for high level program requirements.Conducts producibility and variation analyses at the program Large Scale Systems Integration (LSSI) level.Resolves complex technical problems.Organizes technical aspects of proposal development.Develops and authors new engineering principles theories and advanced technologies.Develops advanced design solutions.Conducts research resulting in new product or business opportunities.Consults on lean principles and technologies for enterprise-wide initiatives.Documents and communicates producibility best practices.Identifies training needs.Establishes procedures standards protocols and reporting requirements.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a “US Person†as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person†includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):7+ years of experience working with space electronics or aerospace flight hardware.7+ years of experience using ERP/MRP to develop and release of work instructions and non-conformance dispositions.5+ years of experience working with surface mount technology manufacturing processes.Typical Education/Experience:Bachelors degree typically 14 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 12 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
