Find your future with us.The Boeing Space and Launch In-Space Vehicles Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join the Satellite Systems Team in El Segundo CA. This candidate will be a part of a high-performing engineering team that is immersed in development and high Non-Recurring projects. The candidate will perform structural analysis to meet mechanical system requirements and establish mechanical systems design for satellite product lines. This role will include accountability for Satellite Structural Analysis across Government and Commercial Satellite Programs.  The idea candidate would have a strong background in stress analysis with familiarity in loads and dynamics analysis and exemplify the Boeing Values in day-to-day operations. Position Responsibilities:Leads development integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system designCoordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environmentGuides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performanceLeads development of test plans and configurations supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specificationsDefines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers or regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfiedSupports products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvementsDevelops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effortLeads project planning and ensure execution on program commitmentsDevelop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effortLead development of emerging technologies/concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirementsWorks under minimal directionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry5 years or more of structural analysis experience2 years or more of engineering leadership experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Abilities to work in a cross-functional team environment and lead across multiple engineering/non-engineering disciplinesExperience with delivering on program commitments – technical cost schedule and risk managementExperience in systems engineering knowledge including requirements definition verification & validation and risk managementStrong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams2 year working with external customersTypical Education & Experience: Bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
