Position OverviewThe purpose of the Project Procurement Manager role is to manage allprocurement required planning execution control and closeout activities forassigned projects.Responsible for leading and managingone or more complex projects to deliver the agreed scope within plannedquality time and cost parameters to satisfy the specified projectrequirements. Supporting the overall business case targeted margins andcash flow objectives.  You will achieve your objectivesby demonstrating a clear understanding of the project business structuregood and proactive communications skills entrepreneurial mindset andthe ability to multitask and coordinate with various functions. ResponsibilitiesGetting involved early within theproject at the proposal stage to drive material cost optimization and developbest in class sourcing strategy for bids.Establishing material budgets andmonitoring costs through project execution phase.Clearly define the supply chain.Creating and maintaining project procurement plans assuring superior supplychain execution throughout the entire project documenting and communicatingthe supply chain strategy to cross-functional project teams.Understanding the scope of supply andcustomer contract agreements performing risk analysis and preparing fornegotiations with suppliers and identifying supply chain risks and monitoringthe supply chain during project execution to avoid potential issues/risks.Coordinating with various commoditymanagers both locally and globally for supplier negotiations to assureoptimization of project spend. Coordinate Supplier meetings for Design-to-Costworkshops. Work with Suppliers Engineering and Supply Chain on cost-cuttingmeasures.Develop RFQ templates based on Projectsrequirements and coordinate RFQ activities with the Procurement Team.Implementing professional sourcingprocesses and coordinating procurement activities and ensure supply base meetsthe projects cost delivery and quality requirement and proactively drivingprocurement strategies in the project process- pooling bundling designing tocost etc.Present overall Supply Chain status toUpper Management within global organization including status of Engineeringreleases RFQ status Purchase Order status FAI status and deliveries.Collaborate with Siemens Headquarters in Europe to access the European supplierbase.Ensure effective and opencommunications throughout the project team and stakeholders.Identify address and manage criticalSupplier situations during each Project phase such as capacity issuesdelivery issues financial issues etc. Develop prioritization plans forsuppliers. Preferred Knowledge/Skills Educationand Experience Bachelors degree- focus upon supply chain or engineering disciplinedesirable 5+ years of project experience Demonstrated broad supply chainknowledge Demonstrated strong knowledge/experience of Microsoft office applications Demonstrated solid communication andlistening skills Demonstrated strong leadership skillsWherepermitted by applicable law Siemens may require employees to be fullyvaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements and in accordance withan accommodation based on legally protected reasons.#LI-EB1#CBOrganization: Siemens MobilityCompany: Siemens Mobility IncExperience Level: Experienced ProfessionalFull / Part time: Full-timeEqual Employment Opportunity StatementSiemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
