Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space and Security is seeking Structural and Payload Design Engineer (Lead or Senior) in El Segundo CA.  This position will focus on Antenna Structures.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead or Senior Engineer.Position Responsibilities:Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system designLeads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirementsLeads the development maintenance or modification of system components designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentationPerforms and documents analysesManages supplier development test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goalsPrioritizes delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the designSupports proposal preparation and new business development effortsTrains and coaches othersWorks under minimal directionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry5 or more years of experience in Space Hardware environmentsExperience in the design and development of antenna and payload systems3 or more years of experience with composites materials and processesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience3 or more years of experience with Antenna Structures5 or more years of experience with Composite3 or more years of experience with RF ComponentsTypical Education & Experience: Lead (Level 4)Bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.Senior (Level 5)Bachelors degree typically 14 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 12 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
