Description Amy Hart with Robert Half is assisting a local hospital to find a skilled Billing Manager to supervise the day to day operations within the patient accounting function including supervising staff; ensuring accurate billing following up and collection of bills and refunds of revenue; and ensuring that the unit meets laws regulations and guidelines governing billing and collections in a healthcare facility.Job RequirementEquivalent to a Bachelors Degree in finance accounting or a closely related field; and three (3) years (within the last 5 years) of experience in patient accounts in a healthcare environmentAdditional and/or Preferred Position RequirementsPrevious experience in managing Hospital billingPrevious experience in managing Physician billingPrevious experience in managing Government payer follow up /collectionsKnowledge and understanding of provider based billing regulationsKnowledge and understanding of Government billing regulationsEpic experience preferredKnowledge of:Supervisory theories and principles; Hospital and departmental policies and principles; laws rules regulations and standards governing finances and financial reporting in health care facilities; generally accepted accounting principles (G.A.A.P.); billing and collection theories and principles; department and hospital safety practices and principles; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling storage use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.Skilled in:Reviewing and analyzing billing and claims reports; implementing and enforcing contracts of care providers; implementing employee audit plans; resolving complex billing and collection problems; writing financial and technical reports; developing interpersonal relations with a variety of people; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient effective and safe use of equipment.Requirements Medical Billing Billing Collection Billing Statements Computerized Billing HealthCare Billing Hospital Billing Insurance Billing Medicaid Billing Medical Insurance Billing Medicare Billing Patient Billing Physician Billing Supervising Certified Epic Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
