We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future.The EA Business Unit in Wendell North Carolina which is its U.S. headquarters focuses on electric-vehicle charging photovoltaic inverters medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services and solutions including automation. Additionally assembly of electric-vehicle chargers low-voltage motor control centers and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility.Reporting to the Plant Manager the Shipping Supervisor will lead the shipping activities at the Siemens plant in Wendell NC.What you will be doing:Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulationsEnsure compliance with shipping processes for domestic and international shipmentMaintains shipping staff job results by training measuring monitoring coaching counseling and disciplining employeesEnsure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocolsRespond timely and professionally to customer complaints and inquiriesConducts short and mid-term capacity planning to ensure labor and equipment resources are balanced with demandEnsures shipping staffing needs through recruiting selecting orienting and training employees.Monitor shipping workflow indicators and respond to exceptionsTroubleshooting complex inventory and shipping errors. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsGuide and manage the process of packing and shipping product to customersCollaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teamsConduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance including safety quality business processes and HR policiesWhat you will need to be successful:Bachelors Degree in Engineering Logistics Supply Chain Management or related discipline3-5 years of leadership experience in a high volume shipping operationExperience in areas such as Engineering Logistics Supply Chain Management or other related manufacturing functionsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent communications skills both written and verbalExperience with warehouse management systemsProficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook Word Power Point and ExcelExperience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipmentWe would be impressed if you had:Experience with SAP WM moduleExperience with warehouse scanning equipment and applicationsAt Siemens we live and foster an ownership culture in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our companys success.
