Chipton-Ross is seeking a Shipping Clerk for a contract opportunity in Everett WA.This position is 100% onsite.RESPONSIBILITIES:Examine contents of shipment and compare with record such as manifests invoices or orders to verify accuracy of out-going shipment. Prepare documents such as work orders bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data such as weight charges and space availability for reporting accounting and recordkeeping purposes. Pack seal and label materials to prepare for shipping using work devices such as hand tools/power tools. Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.REQUIREMENTS:Experience: 0-2 years? Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience? Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy? Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detailBasic understanding of loading trucks and staging and freight preparation. Some experience and training of crate assembly and crating department procedures. Some experience in shipping department tools and usage (i.e. powertools).The ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.EDUCATION:Accredited High school diploma or equivalent preferred.SHIFT:Full-Time1st Shift
