Perform supervisory and administrative duties for the security guard force at assigned facilities. Detects trespassing violations in order to prevent theft sabotage espionage fire and accidental or willful damage and destruction to Federal property. Verifies clearance and issues temporary badges to visitors. Answers inquiries and assists subordinates in resolving problems encountered. HelpRequirementsConditions of Employment Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance. Emergency recall and must be able to work shifts overtime and weekends as required. Must sign DA Form 5019(Conditions of Employment for Certain Civilian Position Identified Critical under the Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Program) and pass drug testing. Must pass the initial Physical Ability Test (PAT) within 90 days of the hiring date and pass the annual PAT Test. Must pass an initial and periodic medical examination. Must complete initial and annual cardio-pulmonary resuscitation recertification and first aid. Must be able to obtain and remain certified for the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) for position suitability. Must possess a valid motor vehicle license. Must wear the Security Guard uniform and maintain a high state of appearance and hygiene. Must be able to wear chemical protection equipment. Must undergo firearms testing on a semi-annual basis. Must meet annual training and recertification requirements. Must be able to successfully complete a locally structured security guard training program or have successfully graduated from a U.S. Army Military Police School accredited academy.
