Find your future with us.We are seeking Mid-Level Facilities Controls/Electrical Engineer (Level 3) within our Engineering and Technology (E&T) team in Auburn WA.This position provides leadership in procurement modifications and maintenance support of building automation and control systems in support of HVAC cranes chillers compressors vacuums fire protection waste pretreatment and steam generationThis position is based primarily in Auburn Washington. However up to 50% travel is required between our Auburn and Frederickson (Puyallup) WA sites.Position Responsibilities: Develops conceptual designs cost estimates and preliminary project schedules based on customer requirements for equipment installations requiring control hardware (example: Allen-Bradley) PLCs and control/ladder logic development/programming analyzing intended use and desired aestheticsInterprets and analyzes applicable laws standards codes and ordinances with respect to project requirements to assist with control design.Tailors project design documents to incorporate control requirements that meet control needs of engineering fields outside consultants facility standards and regulatory/government agencies.Reviews and approves controls/building automation designs to assess compliance with customer requirements building codes and applicable laws by applying knowledge of construction principles practices and standard/consistent software designVerifies equipment specifications (materials and software) included in final designs align with existing control infrastructure.Supports construction projects by providing input on vendor selection and proposal review.Ensures accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor control drawing redline submittals after construction is complete and verifies redlines are incorporated into as-built drawings.Produces detailed design documents project drawings and specifications.With limited supervision develops and updates design standards and site-specific operating procedures in order to establish common practices.Communicates hardware problems and issues to others for resolution and provides control/supervising maintenance support for the control/building automation systems phases of buildings.Provides recommendations to strategic short-term and long-term infrastructure planning recommending capital improvements if needed and works with both internal and external customers in order to identify and assess alternatives and impactsResolves the cause of asset control failures and reduction in control asset capability by using reliability tools and methods (e.g. life cycle analysis condition-based maintenance mean time between failures fault tree analysis etc.).Facilitates the implementation of improvements in control asset efficiency availability and maintainability.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a “US Person†as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person†includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering related field3+ years of experience reading & understanding engineering drawings schematics and specifications1+ years of experience with PLC programming Siemens and/or FANUC CNC logic and/or experience programming equipment machine controls1+ years of experience using AutoCAD (or similar CAD package)1+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teamsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):1+ years of experience with open and closed loop feedback control systems3+ years of experience with PLC’s and related hardware and software3+ years of experience do you have in an engineering role3+ years of experience using software to develop system reliability warranty/incentive models and reliability prediction analyses during the design phaseExperience with Allen-Bradley systems is desirable3+ years of experience working with industrial building systems and controls for systems such as: cranes chilled water compressed air vacuum systems fire protection steam/condensate waste pretreatmentExperience with electrical mechanical and/or structural engineering systemsTypical Education/Experience:  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience Master+7 years
