Description Robert Half is looking to staff a Payroll Manager with our well-respected client! This Payroll Manager will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks such as W2 forms preparing reports and updating policies and will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department. Then this may be the role for you!Your responsibilitiesManage and train payroll clerks and assistantsComply with internal policies and relevant lawsManage the accuracy of records and prepare reportsSettle issues and respond to all questions related to payrollCollaborate with accounting and Human Resources (HR) teamsCollaborate with auditors and manage payroll tax auditsOversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires terminations raises) and system upgradesDevelop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries benefits garnishments deductions taxes and third-party payments)Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems Requirements - 5+ years of payroll experienceStrong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism wellEfficient in handling confidential business matters and information with discretionCPP CPM or other related professional certifications is a plusKnowledge of multi-location payroll and taxesStrong organizational and leadership skills2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar roleBachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting Human Resources or related fieldKnowledge of current payroll procedures and related lawsCompliance knowledgeWell versed in a range of payroll applications Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
